Aside from offering all the banking specialties one might be looking for, Dairy State also offers some great additional exclusives.
Scenery and Sips
For members – age 55 and better – the bank offers a cool perk called Rewards Club. One great example? On Friday, September 5th, Club Members enjoyed a day of Scenery and Sips as Dairy State Bank hosted an Excursion to Taylors Falls and Deer Lake Winery.

Stunning Beauty and Relaxing Atmosphere
This trip was only one of numerous outings, events and travel opportunities offered by the bank every year – every one of them an enjoyable outing! The Bank really rolled out the red carpet on this getaway for its Rewards Club members. They were treated to a memorable daytrip that combined the stunning beauty of nature with the relaxing atmosphere of a local winery.

For just $64 per person, guests from the Rice Lake area and surrounding communities boarded a bus for a special excursion, with the option to purchase a box lunch for an additional fee. And the only driving that Members had to do was in getting to the pickup point in Rice Lake. Newly minted Cruise Director did an excellent job of keeping an accurate head count of the trip’s attendees!

200-Foot-High Cliffs
The day’s highlight was an eighty-minute scenic paddleboat ride through the St. Croix River Dalles, a breathtaking and deep gorge cut and carved by a glacier through basaltic rock many thousands of years ago. Participants marveled at the dramatic, 200-foot-high cliffs and unique rock formations that lined the riverbanks.

As the paddlewheel riverboat glided along the tranquil water, guests had the chance to unwind, take in and photograph the majestic views, and connect with their neighbors and the friendly Dairy State Bank staff.
Charcuterie Boards
The journey continued with a relaxing stop at Deer Lake Winery in St. Croix Falls. Nestled amidst rolling hills and vineyards, the winery provided a perfect setting to sample a variety of locally produced wines. Dairy State provided charcuterie boards replete with a selection with tasty appetizers.

Lively Discussion
Guests could also order a variety of other lighter fare for munching as they enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It was also a great opportunity to socialize, making new friends while reflecting on the day’s adventure. The only glitch was a noted shortage of help at the winery needed to serve roughly 60 guests. Definitely not the fault of Dairy State Bank. No one however seemed to mind, and the approximate two-hour stop brought the winery visit to conclusion. Lively discussion continued as our well-driven tour bus smoothly rambled its way back to Rice Lake.
“… Planning Our Next Event.”
From a Dairy State Bank representative: “This trip was more than just a tour. It was a way to thank our loyal customers and bring our community together. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, and we’re already looking forward to planning our next event.” (That event, by the way, is a trip to “Christmas on the Farm” in November.)
From the point of view of this author, the excursion served as a testament to Dairy State Bank’s commitment to its customers and the local community, proving that strong relationships are built on shared experiences—whether it’s on the river or over a glass of tasty wine.
