Fall Activities

Starting in September, experience the Northwoods like never before! Since days and nights are now about equal in length, we’ve reached what is known as the Autumnal Equinox: Fall for short.

Some outdoors activities like golf, boating and fishing are starting to slow down. Others are just starting to get going. In Rice Lake, Wisconsin and the surrounding area you can enjoy the colors, sights, sounds and smells that are indicators that Fall is here! Get north and check out the following Fall activities:

On the Golf Course

Rice Lake Area Golf Courses

There is still time to head out to the links and enjoy a round of golf at your favorite course, the myriad colors and crisp Autumn air.

On the Backwoods Trails

Of course you can still take the ATV, 4-wheeler or motorcycle out on the trails! But it’s now time to find the trails and paths less taken and take a walk along them. Enjoy the peace and quiet, along with some awesome Fall colors!

Located on the Wild Rivers Trail, you can rent ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles here!

Blue Hills Trails

Enjoy the Fall colors and solitude of a walk through the woods. The Blue Hills Trail is open for hiking, biking & hunting in the fall.

Farmer's Markets

It's time to share the harvest from a bountiful season filled with favorites like fresh corn on the cob, green beans, squash, tomatoes, and more! Rice Lake's market is located in the Cedar Mall parking lot. View our Event Calendar for details and additional local markets.

Mommsen's Harvest Hills

A 40-acre farm on the south edge of Rice Lake offers hours of entertainment & fun for everyone! Corn mazes, a petting farm, weekend hayrides, pick-your-own apples, local crafts, tasty treats, produce & more!

Located along the lake between Douglas and Stout Streets, this was the very first park in Rice Lake.

Time to Relax

After a day on the golf course, riding or walking the trails, or several other possible activities, it’s time to kick back and relax! Or, just maybe there is still time and there are a few things you’d still like to do to round out your day!
